Club By Laws

ARTICLE I MEMBERSHIP

Section 1 Membership is open to anyone who is at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Members must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with promoting a positive image of motorcycling. Misconduct of any kind may lead to termination of Club membership as determined by the Executive Board.

Section 3 Prospective members must attend at least two (2) Club business meetings within a calendar year before being eligible for membership. Current members must attend at least two (2) Club business meetings within a calendar year in order to be eligible to renew their membership for another year.

ARTICLE II MEETINGS

Section 1

Regular meetings of the Club shall be held every second Wednesday of the month at such place and time as the Club shall determine.

Section 2 The Executive Board shall meet as necessary.

ARTICLE III DUES

Section 1

Club dues shall be $20 for a first year membership and $15 for each successive year.

Section 2 Members wishing to renew their memberships must pay their dues during the annual renewal period of December 1 through February 28.

ARTICLE IV ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Section 1 Officers of the Club shall be the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Section 2 Nominations for officers shall be made from the floor at the time of elections, or at the meeting before the one in which elections are held. Elections will be held annually, at the last regular meeting before the end of the calendar year. Except as provided in Section 4, elections for President and Treasurer will be held in alternate years from those for Vice-President and Secretary. Voting shall be by the members present at the time of the elections. A majority of those voting will be sufficient to elect officers.

Section 3 Except as provided in Section 4, all officers shall serve two-year terms. Officers shall serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.

Section 4 The first elections after the adoption of this Section will be for all Club officers, and the Vice-President and Secretary chosen in those elections will serve for one year.

Section 5 Any vacancy will be filled by special election at the first Club meeting following the occurrence of the vacancy.

Section 6 The Executive Board shall consist of the Club officers.

ARTICLE V DUTIES OF OFFICERS

Section 1 The President shall preside over regular meetings and Executive Board meetings. The President shall have general supervision of the operation of the Club.

Section 2 The Vice-President shall preside in the absence of the President.

Section 3 The Secretary shall have custody of these Bylaws and other Club records. The Secretary shall also maintain an accurate record of meetings and other activities.

Section 4 The Treasurer shall receive and disburse all funds of the Club and keep accurate records of all transactions. The Treasurer shall report regularly to the Club on the status of Club finances.

ARTICLE VI RULES OF ORDER

Section 1 The general procedure for meetings shall follow the guidelines set forth in Roberts Rules of Order.

ARTICLE VII LIABILITY AND DISSOLUTION

Section 1 The Club and its members shall be responsible for the expenses incurred in the Club’s discretion in activities approved by the Club. In the event of the dissolution of the Club, all indebtedness shall be paid from the funds of the Club with any remaining funds being donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

ARTICLE VIII AMENDMENTS

Section 1 These Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the members present.

Section 2 Any amendment or other matter voted on by the membership may be vetoed by a unanimous vote of all members of the Executive Board.
